| Originally a row of small cottages dating back to the 17th Century, this cosy village Country Inn in North Wales re-opened its doors for locals and visitors alike on 18th June 2005 after extensive refurbishment. The interior is tastefully and stylishly decorated and furnished in neutral colours, which show off many of the buildings original features. The Lion Inn is just the place to break a journey and enjoy some excellent hospitality where all the family are welcome. The Lion serves a good selection of beers, real ales, lagers, and malt whiskeys, with an excellent wine cellar. The Lion Inn is renowned for its freshly prepared traditional Sunday Roast. Real roasties, fresh Yorkshire pudding and real home made gravy. Bookings taken throughout the year for parties of 8 or more.
Eat in the bar, or in the dining room.
Sunday Lunch: Traditional Sunday lunch available to pre-booked parties of 8 or more.
Real Ale
Traditional cask ale is served, with guest beers throughout the summer. Enjoy traditionally brewed cask ale in this 400 year old Inn.
Wine
A wine cellar stocked by Master of Wine Julia Harding gives excellent house wines, and a more extensive mix of new and old world wine. Take time to try several of the wines on the list, but the Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand and the Omrah Shiraz are definitely worth seeking out.
